Egg Factory, LLC Offers a Unique Internship Opportunity

Innovation
Challenge
The Egg Factory, LLC has developed an exciting
internship program called the Innovation
Challenge. The Innovation Challenge provides
students with a unique opportunity to experience and
participate in a start-up company. Students will
learn first-hand about innovation, intellectual
property, market analysis, technology development and entrepreneurship.
The internship will consist of:
- An
eight-week paid internship for sixteen students
(four business students, four engineering students,
four liberal arts students and four industrial
design). Housing and most food will be
provided.
- Each
team will consist of one business student, on
engineering student, one liberals arts student and
one industrial design student. Four teams of
four students will compete to conceive innovations
and to develop the associated marketing research,
business models and business plans.
- Approximately
three times a week, students will attend seminars on
different aspects of innovation, technology
development and business.
- The
eight-week program will culminate with a
professionally judged conceptual innovation and
associated business plan presentation and
competition. All participants will be awarded
certificates and the winning teams will receive a
cash award.
Qualifications
The Egg
Factory is looking for sixteen, creative, self-motivated individuals who are
in high academic standing to participate in the 2003 Innovation Challenge
Internship Program. The evaluation process will take into account:
extracurricular activities, prior work experience, ability to work in groups,
academic success and entrepreneurship.
