Eggs in the Pipeline

The Egg Factory only pursues innovative opportunities that pass five major hurdles:

1. The opportunity must have the potential to produce $1+ billion in annual revenues within five years of commercial launch by a large global company.

2. The opportunity must control/own a vast majority of the new space being created.

3. The opportunity must be proprietary.

4. The development horizon for the opportunity must be within five years or less.

5. The opportunity must benefit society.

Descriptions of The Egg Factory's active eggs are listed below.

Hearing Enhancement Company

Hearing Enhancement Company, LLC (HEC) is developing a proprietary digital audio technology that allows consumers for the first time the ability to customize their audio experience for improved speech intelligibility and listening enjoyment.

Through numerous amounts of consumer research, HEC has concluded that, similar to having a unique eye prescription, everyone also has a unique hearing prescription. However, unlike vision, which is customized today using eyeglasses, contact lenses, refractive surgery, etc., hearing remains generic with everyone subjected and accustomed to listening to the same audio programming in movies, radio and television.

Audio programming is currently one-size-fits-all even though everyone hears in a unique fashion with different levels of speech intelligibility. HEC's technology is targeted towards changing this paradigm and giving consumers the ability to choose their own, unique audio experience.

HEC's technology has applications in the $79.9 billion US consumer electronics market, the $1.7 billion US hearing healthcare market, the $6.9 billion US movie theater market, and the US airline industry that had 615.8 million passengers in 1998.

Hearing Enhancement Company was conceived of and invented by The Egg Factory.

Hearing Enhancement Company has three issued patents, and is currently pursuing four additional patent applications.

eVision

Presbyopia, a condition that causes a loss in the flexibility of the lens inside the eye resulting in near point blur, affects 93% of the world's population over the age of 45. Today, this condition can be treated with multi-focal lenses. However, consumers are unhappy with the un-natural head posture caused by current multi-focal lenses. In fact, consumers must raise their heads 35° - 45° for clear close-up vision utilizing current progressive lenses.

eVision, LLC is developing a proprietary technology that could provide consumers with enhanced vision care through electro-active focusing optics so that wherever consumers look their vision would always be clear. Further, eVision's technology may be able to correct vision to better than 20/20.

eVision's technology has the potential to revolutionize the $50 billion worldwide vision care industry.

eVision was conceived of and invented by The Egg Factory.

eVision has two issued patents and is currently pursuing eight additional patent applications.

Plasmion Displays

Presently, plasma flat-panel televisions have not enjoyed consumer market success due to their high prices that range from $8,000 to $20,000. In addition, current plasma flat-panel televisions suffer from brightness and efficacy problems.

Plasmion Displays, LLC is developing a proprietary technology for generating a new class of plasma that has the potential of revolutionizing the thin flat-panel display market. Plasmion Displays' technology will increase the luminous efficacy and brightness while at the same time lowering the driving voltage, power requirements and manufacturing costs. The power needs for Plasmion Displays are projected to be 100W, down from the current 350 - 400W. The overall result of the technology is to provide a significantly better plasma flat-panel display at a lower cost.

Plasmion Displays' technology has applications in the $17.4 billion lat-panel display market.

Plasmion Displays was invented and brought to The Egg Factory by an outside source.

Plasmion Displays has four issued patents, exclusive licenses for two additional issued patents and is currently pursuing fifteen patent applications.

Marketers are trying to beat their competition by devising and implementing new methods of advertising. For example, marketers now place static advertisements on the floor directly in front of the item being advertised, and it has proven to be extremely effective. In one independent study, floor advertising increased the sales volume for particular products up to 192%.  Since floor advertising was first used in 1994, industry leaders state that floor advertising has become the fastest-growing media in the history of in-store marketing.

IntelliMat is the next step in floor advertising and messaging.  It involves using an electronic display, with image quality similar to that of a flat screen monitor, in combination with a floor mat to display a dynamic message to individuals walking over and/or using the mat.  The mat is portable and is capable of being placed throughout stores, professional buildings, and large public areas.  In addition, the mat can be updated and changed, via the Internet, from a remote location.

The IntelliMat™ has the potential to be a powerful marketing tool and has the capabilities to provide numerous functions.  In addition to displaying floor advertising, the electronic display housed within the floor mat can be used to give directions or instructions, as well as provide a unique aesthetic.  Further, IntelliMat has the potential to be interactive with the consumer.

  IntelliMat™ Benefits Include:

Ø    Dynamic

Ø   Audio message capability

Ø   Multiple advertisements can be placed on one mat

Ø   Using the Internet or Satellite Technology, the advertisements can be instantly and wirelessly revised, updated, and changed from a remote location
