Forming New Joint Venture Firm

ROANOKE, VA.--e-Vision, a subsidiary of The Egg Factory of Roanoke,
Va., and WaveTec Vision Systems (WaveTec) of Los Angeles said they will
form a joint venture company called Adaptive Vision Systems (AVS) to
develop and commercialize a sophisticated new phoropter. The "next
generation" eye examination instrument, the company said, will
simultaneously measure and correct the patient's vision with and without
his or her interaction. In addition, this next generation phoropter
will measure and correct for higher order aberrations.
The joint venture firm will debut September 30.
