THE EGG FACTORY ANNOUNCES 25th U.S.
PATENT
Dirtex system will keep environment cleaner, healthier
ROANOKE, Va-- June 16, 2004 –The Egg Factory
(TEF), a creator and developer of innovations to Fortune
500 companies and private equity firms, recently received
its
25th U.S. and 29th foreign patent for innovations created
and developed by the company.
TEF’s 25th U.S. patent was awarded in May for
Dirtex, a multi-surface cleaning and disinfecting system
that provides consumers with a new way of keeping their
environments cleaner and healthier. In addition, TEF
is currently pursuing more than 200 other provisional,
non-provisional, U.S. and foreign patent applications.
According to TEF COO, Jim Currie, the issuance of
such a large number of patents across a broad spectrum
of product categories signifies the success of TEF’s
unique business model. As an innovation development
company, TEF is focused on creating innovations that
meet consumer and societal needs. Large global companies
are given the opportunity to either buy or license
these innovations and take them to the marketplace
in less time and at a reduced cost.

To date, TEF has partnered with Johnson & Johnson,

the development of several TEF innovations. Following
is a review of the innovations patented by TEF.
e-Vision, LLC is developing a proprietary technology
that could provide consumers with enhanced vision care
through electro-active focusing optics so that wherever
consumers look their vision would always be clear.
Further, eVision's technology may be able to correct
vision to better than 20/20. e-Vision has five issued
U.S. patents and three foreign patents. e-Vision is
currently pursuing 28 additional U.S. patent applications
and is pursuing numerous foreign counterpart applications.
IntelliMat is a revolutionary new information digital
signage medium that delivers the audio and visual power
of TV on the floor combined with the interactive capability
of a computer in any high traffic environment, including
non-retail and retail locations (airports, malls, banks,
hospitals, grocery stores, mass merchandisers, etc.).
IntelliMat provides breakthrough communication to consumers
in situations where space is limited, allows for ultimate
portability, and can be placed right in front of a
product where purchase decisions are made. IntelliMat
has two issued U.S. patents, one foreign patent, has
received notice of allowable matter on a U.S. patent
application, and is actively pursuing nine additional
U.S. patent applications and numerous foreign counterpart
applications.
Tech Mats utilizes high-tech clean room technology
(the same technology found in the clean rooms of companies
such as Intel, Motorola, and NASA) to provide a superior
doormat for your home for removing dirt from one's
shoes. Tech-Mats have had two U.S. patents, 19 foreign
patents, and is currently pursuing nine additional
U.S. patent applications and numerous foreign counterpart
applications.
Plasmion Displays, LLC’s proprietary technology
is for generating a new class of plasma displays that
has the potential of revolutionizing the thin flat-panel
display market. Plasmion Displays' technology will
increase the luminous efficacy and brightness while
at the same time lowering the driving voltage, power
requirements and manufacturing costs. The overall result
of the technology is to provide a significantly better
plasma flat-panel display having a longer life expectancy
at a lower cost to consumers. In addition, Plasmion
Displays has eight issued U.S. patents and two issued
foreign patents. Plasmion has received notice of allowable
matter on its only pending U.S. patent application.
Hearing Enhancement Company, LLC’s (HEC) proprietary
digital audio technology for the first time gives consumers
the ability to customize their audio experience (voice
to remaining audio) for improved speech intelligibility
and their listening enjoyment. HEC has four issued
U.S. patents, four foreign patents, has received notice
of allowance on another U.S. patent application and
is currently pursuing five additional U.S. patent applications
and numerous foreign counterpart applications.
AgroShield is a proprietary polymer technology that
could protect against crop loss due to cold, frost
and freezing temperatures. AgroShield has one issued
U.S. patent which was sold to AgroShield, LLC, a
Louisiana limited liability company.
